Chapter 19

Dubai Cargo Village –From the Creek banks to the skies

The idea of constructing a Cargo Village was well-timed. The first Gulf War, which affected the business and cargo activity in the region as a
whole, failed to inhibit the Government of Dubai to continue building the facility and putting it into service. After the war ended, these efforts
proved to be fruitful. Dubai Airport had large storage and logistics capacities which helped it cater to the needs of post-war reconstruction
with a high level of professionalism.
